BEAMIT and Elementum 3D cooperate – develop EU market

BEAMIT SpA, Fornovo di Taro, Italy, and Elementum 3D, Erie, Colorado, USA, have signed an agreement to promote each other’s expertise and develop the market for speciality materials in the EU. BEAMIT specialises in Additive Manufacturing and believes that it has the one of the largest AM fleets in Europe.

The company has now expanded its service to create AM business cases including AM process set-up, heat treatment and post-processing of materials that include new alloys developed by Elementum 3D. BEAMIT supports technical developments at Elementum 3D and will act as a European distributor for these powder materials.

Dr. Jacob Nuechterlein is the founder and president of Elementum 3D in Erie, CO. He earned his Bachelor of Engineering, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy at the Colorado School of Mines. Jacob has been researching, teaching, or consulting on topics such as casting and powder metallurgy for the last 14 years. Elementum 3D’s work with powder bed laser additive manufacturing is based on these principles. In addition, is thesis work in thermodynamics and formation kinetics of metal matrix composites is directly related to all 3D printing processes.
